International Magic contest Paris Île-de-France
Under the aegis of FISM (Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques).
Héritier de l'Illusion
Héritier de l’Illusion price is awarded to competitor with the highest number of points (with a minimum score of 85 points).
Héritier d’Or (Gold)
1000 € 1000 EUR and act incorporated into Saturday night and Sunday afternoon’s galas during festival.
Héritier d’Argent (Silver)
700 € and act incorporated into Saturday night and Sunday afternoon’s galas during festival.
Héritier de Bronze (Bronze)
500 € and act incorporated into Saturday night gala only during festival.
International Magic contest
This competition has received agreement from FISM and meets FISM organisational requirements described within contest settlement (jury building, FISM scoring, awards and practicalities).
International Magic Festival Forges
Due to partnership with International Magic festival at Forges-les-Eaux, reps from this festival will be part of jury. Candidates could hopefully be contacted by organizers for a contract on following year’s festival.
An “International Magic festival” award can be delivered after competition.
Price for legal support
For the first time in the history of magic competitions in France, the Héritier de l’Illusion team is offering a “legal support” prize to provide personalised support on the protection of an act and on magic law at the end of the competition.
This new prize, which will be introduced in 2019 during the Héritier de l’Illusion competition, is the result of a partnership with the Larcier publishing house and the collaboration of Guilhem Julia (French magic champion and Héritier d’Argent in 2018). The publishing house will offer the book “L’oeuvre de magie et le droit” by Guilhem Julia, who will offer a personalised accompaniment.
A “legal support” prize may be awarded at the end of the competition.
Immersive Magic course
Magic workshop during 3 days at the Centre Musical International de Roussigny with Peter Din.
Work on the character, creativity, originality, presentation and of course the backbone of these workshops: Acting.
Three intense days with meetings and exchanges with magicians from elsewhere.
A friendly atmosphere “just like at home”, thanks to the kindness and professionalism of Louise and Patrick Marty, the CMI Directors and professional musicians who will give you the secrets of good music for your acts.
A “Magic in immersion” prize may be awarded at the end of the competition.
S2A Production Award
S2A Production, organiser and show producer with whom we work in particular on the organisation of the festival, will be able to give a contract of employment to one of the candidates of its choice at the end of the competition.
This new prize, introduced in 2021 during the Héritier de l’Illusion competition, is the result of a partnership with the show producer which will allow one of the candidates to work on one or more shows programmed by S2A Production during the year.
An “S2A Production” prize can be awarded at the end of the competition.

Access :
A 11 Paris-Le Mans-Nantes motorway, RN 10 Paris-Chartres-Saintes-Bordeaux, and RN 191 linking RN 10 to Etampes; RD 988, towards Orsay; RD 168 towards Dourdan; RD 177 towards Auneau.
– Registration is free; artists that are engaged for galas can’t be part of competition.
– Allowed areas for competition are: Manipulation (MA) / General Stage magic (MG) / Big Illusions (GI) / Comic Magic (CO) / Mentalism (MM) / Magic for kids (ME) / Other Arts (AA); act must contain magic feature.
Together with registration form, artist has to provide following info:
1 – Video (10 min max) via private link, reflecting what will be presented during contest
2 – Copy of civil responsibility insurance.
3 – Parent authorisation for minor artists (under 18)
4 – Image rights form signed
5 – Deposit check (150 EUR) for cancellation fees; check given back to candidate after she/he has attended competition
6 – Registration form and settlement agreement, both dated, approved and signed.
– In case a candidate won’t be selected by pre-selection committee, a written feedback explaining reasons will be sent by email, allowing her/him to apply for next edition.
